Sin embargo, esta traducci\u00f3n directa no logra englobar&nbsp;toda&nbsp;la esencia de esta disciplina. As\u00ed lo afirma Jon Kabat-Zinn, m\u00e9dico y fundador del Centro para la Atenci\u00f3n Plena en Medicina,&nbsp;en su libro <em>Mindfulness para principiantes<\/em> (2013).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kabat-Zinn define <em>mindfulness <\/em>como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c&#8230; lo que emerge cuando prestas una atenci\u00f3n deliberada y no cr\u00edtica al momento presente como si tu vida dependiera de ello. Y lo que emerge no es m\u00e1s que la conciencia\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>De esta forma, entendemos <em>mindfulness <\/em>como&nbsp;el&nbsp;proceso en el que meditar sobre el momento presente se vuelve primordial. Es un tiempo de reflexi\u00f3n sobre lo que est\u00e1 pasando, sin querer cambiar las cosas de manera forzada. Esto,&nbsp;con el objetivo de entrar en un estado de serenidad que influir\u00e1 positivamente en nuestra perspectiva sobre la vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Beneficios del mindfulness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El entrenamiento en mindfulness ha sido cada vez m\u00e1s investigado por la ciencia y la medicina. Existen  diferentes beneficios que confirman su impacto en la salud. Algunos de estos son:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table class=\"has-background has-fixed-layout\" style=\"background-color:#aec5ab\"><tbody><tr><td>Activa del&nbsp;c\u00f3rtex&nbsp;prefrontal cerebral: Esta \u00e1rea es clave para asegurar funciones vitales como tomar decisiones, planificar, recordar y manejar emociones.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Tratar el estr\u00e9s y la ansiedad: Vivir el presente disminuye la rumiaci\u00f3n sobre el pasado y el futuro. Se promueve un estado de calma y relajaci\u00f3n.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Mejorar nuestra capacidad inmunol\u00f3gica: Un estudio publicado por el Laboratorio de Evaluaci\u00f3n e Investigaci\u00f3n del Estr\u00e9s de la UCLA&nbsp;revel\u00f3&nbsp;que el&nbsp;<em>mindfulness <\/em>podr\u00eda impactar positivamente procesos de inflamaci\u00f3n, inmunidad celular y envejecimiento biol\u00f3gico. Aunque estos hallazgos son provisionales, demuestran la importancia pr\u00e1ctica del <em>mindfulness<\/em>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Actividades para una mente zen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En su programa de habilidades \u201cConecta tu ser: una vida con mindfulness\u201d, la psic\u00f3loga Sandra Guerrero-Arag\u00f3n propone una serie de actividades para practicar el mindfulness. Encuentra una selecci\u00f3n de tres de ellas a continuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ejercicio de gratitud:<\/strong> Piensa en aquellas cosas por las que est\u00e1s agradecido o recuerda esos momentos positivos que experimentaste durante el d\u00eda. Puedes registrar estos pensamientos en un cuaderno o incluso en tu celular, a trav\u00e9s de un video o de las notas de voz. Reflexiona por algunos minutos a diario para reducir tu nivel de estr\u00e9s y cambiar tu mentalidad a una m\u00e1s positiva.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mindful breaks (pausas conscientes):<\/strong> Mientras trabajas o estudias, es importante pausar y descansar la mente. Despu\u00e9s de cada hora, intenta dedicar unos minutos a realizar una breve meditaci\u00f3n o a ejercicios de&nbsp;respiraci\u00f3n&nbsp;consciente, para enfocarte en el momento presente.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Desconexi\u00f3n digital: <\/strong>Apaga tu dispositivo o col\u00f3calo en modo \u201cno molestar\u201d cuando te encuentres en horas de descanso o incluso durante el d\u00eda. Enf\u00f3cate en hablar con un amigo, con tu familia o en practicar alguna actividad que te guste. Hablar contigo mismo tambi\u00e9n cuenta en este caso. Pero no te enfoques en tus preocupaciones, sino en reencontrarte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estos momentos de encuentros con nuestro \u201cyo\u201d interior pueden potenciar nuestra calidad de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-abe71e0f7178538cd0f6d759ab674159\" style=\"color:#436e4e;font-size:22px\"><strong>Mindfulness en Combarranquilla<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Este mes de agosto, podr\u00e1s tener tu primer acercamiento o seguir adentr\u00e1ndote en el mundo del&nbsp;<em>mindfulness&nbsp;<\/em>con el seminario \u201cMindfulness: presencia y autoconciencia en la vida diaria\u201d.
